Lake Tsomgo or known as Changu lake is a lake that never dies. Glaciers are the source to the lake. Resting at an altitude of 12,313 ft and 37 km from Gangtok is frozen during the winter. Surrounded by steep mountains the lake is on the way to Natu La pass.

Brahminy ducks and many migratory birds make the lake their home during the summer. Market by the lakeside is famous for its Yak cheese and trinkets. A trip to the Tsomgo lake along with Baba Mandir is beneficial.
