Named after the first Prime Minister of the island nation of Mauritius, Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is the new attraction for tourism in the country. After getting a new terminal in the year 2013, Sir Seewoosagur Airport is now buzzing with lot of tourists, and regular improvements have been happening in the facilities to compensate the heavy inflow of almost 5 million passengers every year.
The Airport is close to 50 km from the capital city of Port Louis and is owned and operated by the Republic Government of Mauritius itself. The Airport also has large staff to look after the daily services to increasing businesses and commuters. The Airport also boasts a big parking lot that can accommodate 900-1000 vehicles. It's friendly both to car rentals and passengers to walk towards taxis or buses.
There are lounges across the Airport terminal that allow WiFi access, restaurants, magazine stands and other commercial outlets to keep passengers busy and pass their time. One particular lounge named Nenuphar Lounge is open for all classes of passengers unlike other lounges that are only for a particular class. Other amenities and support are fully functional and provide all help required when you need them.
